Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club
Yas Links, Abu Dhabi
When the decision was made to build a golf course in the UAE the planners wanted to achieve something special so the spectacular Abu Dhabi coastline was chosen to home the Yas Links. Around 1.8 million cubic metres were dredged from the area to establish a course that not only looked amazing for golfers but enriched the surrounding area.
Conceived by one of the world’s leading golf course designers, the project was a success. Yas Links is not only an exceptional course, but also provides an environment in which many new species of wildlife and sea life can flourish.
Dominating Dubai's enchanting waterfront, the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club overlooks the Creek and Marina. Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club opened in January 1993 to world acclaim and since then it has been host to numerous tournaments and events, including the Dubai Desert Classic on two occasions.
The majestic Clubhouse - its design mirroring the sails of the traditional Arab dhow - has been one of the most photographed landmarks since it opened in 1993, capturing the essence of Dubai's seafaring traditions and presenting the perfect fusion of heritage with modernity and style.

Arabella Western Cape Hotel & Spa, South Africa
The Montgomerie Maxx Royal is a European Golf Design project course in the Belek area, and it more than lives up to the hype which surrounds it. The course layout has been created to give people the opportunity to try their hand at an accessible course with a professional edge.
Like many of Belek’s other courses, the fairways play through mature pine forests, and work with the area’s natural features to create an enjoyable yet challenging course. With eight lakes dotted around the course, water hazards play a part. Clever ball placement is required if you want to make it home with a clean score card.
The Stadium Course at Sawgrass Golf Resort is perhaps one of the world's most famous golf courses. Boasting eighteen of the most incredible golf holes ever designed for one course, this Pete Dye masterpiece winds through North Florida's natural wetland landscape culminating with the internationally famous 17th Hole Island Green - arguably the signature hole of the entire sport.
Set in the Majestic Kogelberg mountain range and bordered by the Bot Rivier Lagoon is the Arabella Golf Course with its tricky bunkers, immaculate Kikuyu fairways and inventive water hazards it is of little wonder that the course has consistently been ranked in South Africa’s top ten courses.
The 6381 metre course’s design is the masterpiece of acclaimed South African golf course architect Peter Matkovich, who was commissioned in 1999 and he has most certainly not disappointed. The 18th hole has become something of a legend amongst the South African golfing fraternity and the 8th hole is widely known as one of the most beautiful par five’s in the country.
